Online & In-Person Psychotherapy
Group Psychotherapy
Group psychotherapy is a form of therapy where the same small group of people meets regularly over an extended period of time, guided by one or more trained therapists. Sessions are held on a fixed day and time, ensuring consistency and fostering the psychological capacity for stability and commitment.
Within the group, through the power of relationships and interaction, members have the opportunity to gain deeper understanding of themselves and others. In a safe and supportive environment, issues such as relationships, self-image, anxiety, and loneliness are explored. The group works therapeutically through dialogue, empathy, and mutual recognition.
Compared to other forms of psychotherapy, the desired changes in group therapy often occur more quickly and tend to be more lasting. Moreover, individuals who engage in group therapy often experience greater improvement in their interpersonal relationships than with other approaches.
Before joining a group, one or more individual sessions take place to discuss personal needs, goals, and the suitability of group therapy for each person. The group is structured to ensure safety, confidentiality, and functionality, taking into account members’ age, psychological state, and personal characteristics. The ultimate aim is to create a stable and supportive environment where each individual can express themselves and grow.
